Good maze board idea, my games on it showed it can be prone to standoffs on the board standard light fog setting so I'll recommend trying a bit more fog to see if you like that.
Complicated strategic board, a challenge if you have some reserve mental energy lying around. Not to be taken lightly if you want to win. Don't be impatient, time your attacks, and look for strong strategic positions.
I like this board, there are many different strategies you can choose, yet is it not too complicated. You have to like larger games, though, not available for less than 8 players.
Good board, not the most varied but makes for a nice fairly quick game with enough unpredictability to keep you interested (if you like that sort of thing).
I like this board, it makes for a fun and interesting game with little risk of a protracted standoff ending. I prefer the free holders scenario to the lord holders as it seems to me the lords in the lower section of the map has an initial advantage to the ones in the upper section, but as I won my only game starting in the upper region it can't be too bad. For the free holders I'd say this is the better Pern board, but both are worth playing.
Great board, takes a bit of getting used to. Was close to giving up on it after a game or two but kept playing and like it better now. The "Build your empire" scenario is recommended.
I haven't played all scenarios but for those I have tried, it's an interesting board with the almost universal attacking advantage creating unusual dynamics.
Board struggles a bit with atrophy strategies working best rather than race which is what I guess was intended. Beware before you attack here, few boards have bigger defensive advantage.
Good board, tradeoff between citadels and fighting opponents can make 1-on-1 interesting, and bigger games become unpredictable. Recommend total fog at any number of players.
Nice board idea, a lot of neutrals to defeat to get bonuses adds a tactical element even to a 1-on-1 that's not always present on other boards. I recommend a try to see if you like it.
Bonus structure a bir tough to comprehend, I suppose it's easier if you're a pianist. Board tend to lead to protracted stalemates in multiplayer. But a nice idea.
